Our AML and Verification Policy

We hold licence 8048/JAZ2020-13 issued in Curaçao, and that licence comes with strict anti-money-laundering (AML) duties. This page sets out, in plain English, what we verify, when we verify it, and what happens if verification is not completed.

Our AML Commitment

Betbeast Casino operates under Curaçao licence 8048/JAZ2020-13, and we treat the anti-money-laundering rules of that jurisdiction as the minimum standard for everything we do. Since launching in 2023 we have built our compliance programme around three duties: knowing who our players are, understanding where their funds come from, and reporting suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.

Money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud harm every player on our platform. That is why our compliance team, led by our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), reviews every stage of the player journey, from your first deposit to your final withdrawal. We do not tolerate the use of our platform as a channel for criminal proceeds, and we cooperate fully with regulators and law enforcement where legally required.

When We Verify You

Know Your Customer checks

Verification runs on a risk basis, but there are three fixed trigger points. We run basic checks at registration, we complete full Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before your first withdrawal, and we re-verify at set thresholds or whenever a transaction pattern raises a question.

  • Registration: we confirm you are of legal age, not in a restricted country (United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea, Lithuania and Greece are excluded), and screen you against sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) lists.
  • First withdrawal: full identity verification is mandatory before we release any funds, with no exceptions.
  • Thresholds and triggers: larger withdrawals, unusual deposit patterns or conflicting account data can prompt verification at any time.
  • Source of funds: for high-value activity we may ask where the money wagered on our platform came from.

Documents and How to Submit Them

What we need from you

The standard document set covers three things: who you are, where you live, and that the payment method you used belongs to you. We accept clear photos or scans, and every submission goes through the same steps.

  • Step 1: Photo identification. A current passport, national ID card or driver's licence, with all four corners visible and nothing obscured.
  • Step 2: Proof of address. A utility bill, bank statement or official government letter issued within the last 3 months showing your name and residential address.
  • Step 3: Proof of payment method ownership. A photo of the card (middle digits and CVV masked) for card deposits, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name or wallet address.
  • Step 4: Our compliance team reviews the files and confirms the outcome by email, usually within 24 hours. Complex cases can take longer, and we will tell you if they do.

How your documents are protected

Files are uploaded through an encrypted connection, stored on access-restricted servers, and visible only to compliance staff who need them for verification. We never share your documents with third parties except where disclosure is required by law or by our regulator.

Why We Ask About Funds

If your deposits or withdrawals reach a level where the amounts do not match what we would expect for normal recreational play, we may ask you to show the source of your funds. This is not an accusation; it is a legal duty under our Curaçao licence.

Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, tax returns, bank statements, a letter from an accountant, or records of an asset sale or inheritance. What matters is that the document connects your name to the money you deposited. Until we receive satisfactory evidence, deposits may stay locked to wagering and withdrawals may be held, as explained under account restrictions below.

How We Monitor Transactions

Deposits, withdrawals and limits

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated screening and, where flagged, manual review by our compliance team. Checks cover transaction size, frequency, funding source, destination of funds and consistency with your verified profile.

We apply the same-method withdrawal rule: funds are returned through the same payment method used to deposit, up to the amount deposited. Any surplus above that is paid out to a method of your choice from our available withdrawal options. Our withdrawal limits are 6,000 AUD per day and 15,000 AUD per week, with a minimum withdrawal of 30 AUD and typical processing within 0-24 hours. We charge no fees on withdrawals at our end.

If Verification Fails

If your documents are missing, unreadable or inconsistent with your account details, we will contact you and give you a fair chance to fix the problem. Until verification is complete, expect the following restrictions.

We may suspend withdrawals, block further deposits, freeze wagering with existing balances, or close the account outright where fraud, multiple accounts, use of a restricted jurisdiction or third-party funding is established. Deliberately submitting false or forged documents leads to permanent closure and forfeiture of bonuses and winnings, and we report serious cases to the authorities. If you disagree with a decision, contact our compliance team at [email protected], available 24/7, and we will review the case.

How Long We Keep Records

Our licence requires us to retain verification documents, transaction records and AML case files for at least 5 years after your account closes or after the last transaction, whichever is later. Retention lets us answer regulator and law-enforcement requests and defend audit findings.

When the retention period ends, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your files. Access during the retention window is limited to compliance and audit personnel, and every access is logged. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time by writing to [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to verify my account before I can deposit?

No. You can deposit and play after basic registration checks. Full KYC verification is required before your first withdrawal, or earlier if triggered by thresholds or unusual activity.

How long does verification take?

Most reviews are completed within 24 hours. If a document is unclear or a source-of-funds check is needed, it can take longer, and we will keep you informed by email.

Can I withdraw to a different method than I deposited with?

We return funds to the same method used to deposit, up to the deposited amount. Any remaining balance can be withdrawn via one of our other available withdrawal methods.

What happens if I don't complete verification?

Withdrawals stay on hold and further deposits may be blocked. If verification is not completed or documents are found to be false, the account can be closed and bonuses and winnings forfeited.

Why did you ask me for proof of source of funds?

High-value deposits or betting patterns that don't match your profile trigger a source-of-funds check under our Curaçao licence obligations. It confirms the money you wager comes from a legitimate source.
